About us

A family plumbing company, not a franchise

Bluewater Plumbing was started in 2011 by Mike Alvarez, a second-generation plumber, with one van and a promise he still keeps: show up when you said you would, give the price in writing before you start, and fix it so it stays fixed. Today the company runs six trucks out of Boca Raton and serves homeowners from Boynton Beach to Coral Springs.

Every technician is state-licensed, insured and background-checked, and each truck carries the parts for the repairs we see most: supply lines, shut-off valves, water heater elements and thermostats, disposals, fill valves. That is why most jobs are finished on the first visit.

    The plumber diagnoses the problem, then hands you a written price. Nothing starts until you approve it, and the number does not change.

  • Same-day appointments

    Six trucks dispatched from Boca Raton, stocked for the common repairs. Most calls placed before noon are done the same day.

    Every repair is covered for a year. If it fails, call and we come back at no charge.

$59, which covers the trip and the diagnosis. It is waived when you approve the repair. Emergency and after-hours calls use the after-hours rate on our price sheet, confirmed before the plumber is dispatched.
Most calls placed before noon are handled the same day. Emergencies are dispatched immediately, around the clock, and a plumber is usually on site within the hour in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach.
Yes. Bluewater Plumbing holds a Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license, carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and every technician passes a background check before he is sent to a home.
Under ten years old and the tank is dry: repair it, usually for $150 to $400. Over ten years old, or the tank itself is leaking: replace it. We give you both prices so you can decide.
In most cases, yes. We locate the leak with acoustic listening equipment and thermal imaging first and mark it to within a few inches, so the opening is small and in the right place.
Yes. Water heater replacements, repiping and sewer work require permits in Palm Beach and Broward County. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection and close it out as part of the job.
